Covid-19: Focus back on screening at airport, mask & booster dose

The Centre on Wednesday reviewed the Covid situation in the country in the wake of a surge in several countries, especially China, with health minister Mansukh Mandaviya asking people to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour, including wearing masks in crowded places, and getting vaccinated. After a meeting with top health officials, he called for strengthening the surveillance system to ensure timely detection of newer variants, if any, circulating in the country.
